How to Apply to Lamar School:

Step 1: Schedule a Campus Visit
Contact an admissions counselor to set up an appointment for more information and a tour of campus:  
Elementary (Pre-K - 5th grade)  601-482-1345 ext. 30 or online.
Middle and High School (6th -12th grade) 601-482-1345 ext. 10 or online.
Step 2: Submit Application, Registration Fee, and Required Documents

Return your application along with:

  • Birth Certificate
  • MS Immunization Record
  • Copy of latest report card or HS Transcript

Step 3: Complete Admissions Screening

An admissions counselor will contact you to schedule a date and time for admission screening.  

Upon acceptance, students are offered an enrollment contract or placed in a waiting pool until space becomes available.  

When to Apply:

Registration for returning families begins the first week of February.  Registration for new families with students in grades PreK -12 opens in mid-February.  An Open House will be held in mid-February for any interested students and their families.  Faculty, administrators, and students will be on hand to give tours and answer questions.  


Children must reach the age of four on or before September 1 for the school year they are applying for to be eligible.  The pre-kindergarten is a full-day program, meeting regular school hours.  No entrance testing is required.
