How to Apply to Lamar School:

Step 3: Provide Required Documents
- Birth Certificate
- MS Immunization Record
- Copy of latest report card or HS Transcript
Step 4: Complete Admissions Screening
A Lamar School Admissions Counselor will contact you to find a suitable date and time for admission screening/testing.
Admission decisions are typically shared within one week of your child's screening/testing date. Upon acceptance, students are offered an enrollment contract or placed in a waiting pool until space becomes available.
When to Apply:
To apply for the current school year, please contact the appropriate office to accertain if a space is available. Policies differ for in-county transfers and those moving in from out of the area. Please refer to our Student Handbook for full details.
Registration for the 2017-18 school year opens for new students in grades 1-12 on February 21, 2017. A registration packet may be picked up in the office. Registration for returning families begins February 6, 2017. An Open House will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm for any interested students and their families. Faculty, administrators, and students will be on hand to give tours and answer questions.
Children who reach the age of four on or before September 1, 2017 are eligible for the 2017-18 school year. The pre-kindergarten is a full-day program, meeting regular school hours. No entrance testing is required.
Children who reach the age of five on or before September 1, 2017 are eligible for the 2017-18 school year. Kindergarten is a full-day program, meeting regular school hours. An entrance screening is required for all applicants. Entrance screenings will be scheduled after the application has been submitted and registration fee paid.
