Discover the Difference

Building Foundations

Lamar's Pre-Kindergarten curriculum gives children a nurturing beginning. Preschoolers quickly become a part of the Lamar family, where we strive to instill a life-long foundation for learning.

Inspiring a Love of Learning

The elementary curriculum inspires a love of learning through reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science. Small classes allow teachers to foster an environment in which curious and creative learners emerge.

Nurturing Transitions

We recognize that middle school is a time when much personal growth takes place as the independent learner emerges. During sixth through eighth grades, students are provided with steady guidance by supportive staff as they learn to meet greater expectations for self-reliance.

Preparing for Success

The high school years serve as the capstone experience at Lamar School. Our students are conditioned for success through exposure to a rigorous curriculum taught by teachers who recognize and encourage critical thought, hands-on investigation, and independence.

Athletics

Lamar School's sports teams are established for the purpose of participation in and enjoyment of the competitive experience.  Sports are an integral part of our school community and serve to provide its participants with developmental traits inherent in the athletic experience: the spirit of cooperation and camaraderie, the struggle to achieve, the attainment of common goals, and the total team aspect.

Arts

Providing opportunities for students to have a well-rounded, enriched curriculum is a high priority. At all grade levels, we strive to provide exposure to as many arts opportunities for our students as possible.
