The high school years serve as the capstone experience at Lamar School. Our students are conditioned for success through exposure to a rigorous curriculum taught by teachers who recognize and encourage critical thought, hands-on investigation, and independence.

 

Preparing for Success

Grades 9-12

The High School Difference allows students to:

  • Engage in an intentional college preparatory curriculum with advanced placement and dual college credit class offerings as well as electives in the arts and humanities.

  • Choose from multiple enrichment opportunities in a variety of extra-curricular activities including sports, visual and performing arts, competitive academic teams, and service organizations.

  • Expand horizons through travel opportunities throughout our country and abroad.

Gena Dye

Mrs. Gena Dye serves as the Upper School Principal at Lamar School, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to academic excellence. A long-time member of the Lamar community, Mrs. Dye has previously served in a variety of roles, including librarian, senior English teacher, and Dean of Faculty. Her leadership has been instrumental in guiding faculty development and strengthening curriculum across the Upper School.
