Raider Athletics

Athletics play an important role in the Lamar School experience. Athletic participation encourages students to challenge themselves and helps to build self-confidence through hard work, consistency, and collaboration. Sports programs build community and develop communicative and adaptive leaders.

Lamar School students are encouraged to participate in athletics, and we offer outstanding programs with the chance for students to excel through sportsmanship, drive, and teamwork. We field 10 boys teams and 11 girls team in sports for students in Grades 7–12. Additionally, we have Youth Development League offerings in football and basketball. We encourage our students to be leaders who display responsibility, integrity, and respect in all they do, both on and off the field.

There is a tradition of excellence in sports at Lamar. At the same time, we firmly believe the importance is on the process, not on the result. Athletics provide valuable life lessons to our students. We are proud that nearly 90% of our students participate in athletics, and many of those play multiple sports.
