Lamar School is excited to welcome Dr. Chris Price as high school principal. Dr. Price earned his B.S. (Biology) from Millsaps College, his D.M.D. from UMMC, and his M.Ed (Educational Leadership & Supervision) from Delta State. 

No stranger to Lamar School, Dr. Price is a 1992 graduate and served in both teaching and administrative capacities from 2003 through 2013. In the interim, he has served as a Head of School for Island Christian School in Islamorada, Florida and as Head of School for The Independent Virtual Academy. He is a member of Cognia advisory board for Mississippi, allowing him to serve and lead accreditation reviews of many schools. These reviews provide the opportunity for him to share and borrow best practices, leading to higher levels of student engagement and performance. 

Dr. Price spends his free time enjoying travel with his wife, DeeDee (LS c/o 1992) and his daughters Isabel (LS c/o 2021) and Emily (LS 11th grade).
